Peer intervention programme

The peer intervention programme at Student Wellness Service (SWS) is concerned with four focus areas:

  1. Counselling
  2. Health and wellness
  3. Academic support
  4. Social and emotional adjustment

Peer counsellors are professional social workers and postgraduate students at UCT. They offer psychosocial support, academic support, and advice through individual counselling. The peer counsellors also address issues of socio-emotional adjustment and promote overall health and wellness.
